2018 Prac Experience Application
Job No:
RIDBC297
Location:
North Rocks
At RIDBC, practicum students are placed in a department or classroom depending on their availability, level of experience, requirements set out by their course and the needs of RIDBC.
Please note that this is usually completed on a once per week basis during the hours of 9am and 3pm however in some cases we can accommodate a one or two week block.
In order to accept your application we ask that practicum students complete the below application form. If you have any previous work experience or personal experience you would like to share, please feel free.
Please note students aged 18 years and over are required to obtain a NSW (or state equivalent) Working with Children Check and Criminal Record Check. We cannot accept students without these completed checks. We require both checks to be submitted prior to the commencement date of your placement.
We understand that the supervisor of your placement may be required to complete forms, provide feedback or monitor specific outcomes as part of your course. Please send this information through to us along with your application so that we can ensure RIDBC can meet the criteria set out by the course. We cannot accept students without this information. If you are unable to attach, please email the requirements to erin.coyle@ridbc.org.au along with your name and placement details.
Please note we receive a huge number of placement queries here at RIDBC and treat placements on a first in first served basis as well as considering the needs of the student and the availability of our teachers for supervision. This sometimes means we cannot accept all of the students that apply for a placement at RIDBC, we endeavour to notify students of the outcome as soon as practicable.
Please allow at least 4-6 weeks for coordination of your placement.
